Yes! Nearly everyone comes solo. Our events are designed to help you meet new people, and our hosts will welcome you, explain how everything works, and make it easy to start connecting with others.

The name was inspired by the shaka hand gesture from surf culture, which symbolizes good vibes and connection. Founders Caitlin and Kelly Stefanick chose it to reflect the welcoming community they wanted to build.

A curation fee is your admission to an event. We use this term instead of "ticket" because each event is carefully curated with dedicated planning, hosting, and activities.
