We're taking meeting people in your age range to a whole new level! If you're in your late 20s or 30s and wondering where to meet people your age, the answer this Saturday is on the Shaka yacht! We'll be departing from Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers and heading south along the Hudson to take in the city from the water, catch some rays, listen to music, and of course, enjoy the company of the Shaka community! The capacity of the boat is just under 40 people, so this won't be some crazy big boat where you'll get lost in the crowd - you'll actually have a chance to mingle with people in a relaxed setting. Please note that this event does sell out early every year, so plan your sign-up accordingly!

Shaka and its partners will be providing an open bar, but you can also bring anything of your own you'd like to have during the trip (alcohol, water/non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks). And, we'll be hitting the water rain or shine, so be sure you're prepared for some fun no matter what the weather is! The multi-level yacht has many areas where you can hang out comfortably, with both outdoor and indoor options. The indoor portions have air conditioning, and the outdoor sections have optional shade, so if it is raining (or extremely hot and sunny), our fun will certainly not be ruined. 

Summary of what's included:

• Open bar from various sponsors, such as canned cocktails like Negronis and Boulevardiers, craft hard seltzers, non-alcoholic options, and more - you are also welcome to bring whatever alcohol you'd like,
• Two-hour leisurely trip along the Hudson on a private yacht with great views of the NYC skyline and Statue of Liberty,
• A curated group of attendees in their late 20s and 30s, and
• As always, a Shaka staff member will be at Chelsea Piers to greet you and will also be on the boat to provide assistance throughout the experience.

Important notes: 

• The captain will ask you to remove your shoes prior to boarding. You may bring a clean white rubber soled separate pair of shoes that you are not wearing to the boat to wear during the event (i.e. white rubber soled boat shoes or clean white rubber soled sneakers or flip flops). This is to prevent scuffing and scratching of the newly renovated deck. 
• We also recommend wearing a hat (just make sure it stays on your head!), sunglasses, and sunscreen. 
• There will be a bathroom aboard the yacht.

Yacht Cancellation & Damages Policy: Due to the terms around the yacht rental, the Shaka Club's cancelation terms are a bit stricter on this event than usual. Your spot is nonrefundable unless we are able to fill it with another attendee upon your cancellation. In the unlikely event that damages are incurred on the boat, the responsible party or parties, as determined at the sole discretion of the Shaka Club, will be responsible for the charges.
